Important Information

Health, Safety & Best Practice

Chameleon Face and Body Art observes all current Health & Safety and Best Practice guidelines to ensure a safe, hygienic and enjoyable experience for every client.

For safety reasons, we use only high-quality professional face paints, including Snazaroo, Cameleon, Superstar, Paradise, Face Painting Hub, Wolfe and Grimas.

We take health and hygiene extremely seriously. Our artists:

• Use frequent water changes

• Use a clean sponge per child to prevent cross-contamination

• Maintain strict hygiene procedures throughout all events

All face paints used are water-based, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and fully compliant with EU and FDA toy and cosmetic regulations.

Face Paint Removal

We recommend removing face paint with warm water and a soft flannel.
We do not recommend baby wipes, as these can irritate the skin and are less effective.

Painting Policy

For health and safety reasons, Chameleon Face and Body Art does not:

• Paint anyone who is unwell, has a temperature, open cuts, or skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, chicken pox, cold sores, or similar (this list is not exhaustive)

• Paint any area of the body deemed unsuitable by the artist

We are happy to paint children aged 3 years and over, with no upper age limit.
For children aged 2–3 years, hand or arm painting only will be offered at the artist’s discretion.

A patch test can be provided for children with sensitive skin or known allergies.

Liability & Supervision

Chameleon Face and Body Art:

• Is not liable for allergic reactions to face paints

• Is not responsible for paint transfer onto clothing

• Will only paint willing children to ensure a positive experience

• Does not supervise children — responsibility for behaviour and safety remains with the client and/or parent at all times

• Requires an adult to be present at all times

Insurance & Accreditation

• £10 million Public Liability Insurance

• DBS checked

• All face painters hold Public Liability Insurance, are highly experienced, and many also hold DBS checks

• Kate Woodgate is a proud member of Equity

• Former member of FACE (Face Painting Association), having passed certification confirming a high professional standard

• Although no longer a member, Kate continues to adhere to FACE’s strict code of conduct
